The Constant Voltage and Constant Current of the charger eliminates any possibility of overcharging. As the charger is SCR controlled, the charging current is constant in spite of large Input Voltage fluctuations. When the batteries are charged the battery current reduces and batteries are maintained in charged condition with trickle charging.
